Services
Parent Support
We set the stage for your child’s success with strategies that allow parents to support therapeutic goals and promote progress at home. We practice using the Nurtured Heart Approach® to handle negative behaviors, create successes, build strengths, and provide clear structure.
Most families begin here.
Therapy for Kids and Teens
Individual therapy sessions are dynamic and tailored to your child’s specific needs..
Depending on the issue being addressed, meetings may incorporate elements of play therapy, skills training, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, I integrate mindfulness, movement, and creative arts into sessions as appropriate.
Younger children often best express themselves and build coping skills through play-based activities. To help my older clients navigate adolescence with authenticity and integrity, I serve as a compassionate listener and sounding board, exploring feelings, coping strategies, and strengths.
Family Therapy
After establishing a solid foundation with supportive parenting strategies and building skills and capacity through individual work, we may meet together in family sessions to improve communication, strengthen relationships, recognize successes, and consolidate gains.
